Answer
The first thing
to understand is that most varieties produce flowers from the end of the stems
and some also from the leaf axils at the top of the stem. Therefore grow a
plant with many stems. This is a very simple procedure. From a cutting of
two or three inches tall remove the growing tip, when the new growth is a
similar size remove the growing tips again, this time it may be as many as
six or even eight stems requiring the tips to be removed. This can be done
a number of times, it's up to you. After removing a growing tip single flowering
varieties will take on average about eight weeks and double flowering varieties
ten weeks.
