Who and what are Stircrazy?
Stircrazy are a five piece hard rocking rock band, consisting of Monica (vocals), John (drums), Fluffy (hard rocking bass dood), Big Owl(lead guitar) and Mark (lead guitar), based in the North of England (some in the band would say Manchester, some would say Lancashire, some would say "Hey - get me a beer!"...)
If you are sick of all the current "manufactured bands", and all the bands that just look so miserable when playing - then Stircrazy are probably for you! Guaranteed to give their all at every gig - they will always put on a tremendous show - leaving the audience exhausted, happy and probably slightly deaf.
Playing a mixture of their own songs (sample tracks and videos of the band can be found in the picture gallery) and covers, their music is described by some as "90s and modern rock", by others as "cheezy 80s metal" and by some boring types as "just plain too loud"!!!. The ethos behind the band is "have a good time" - and everyone at their gigs has, so far, without fail had a great time!
To give you some idea of the kind of music played - covers include songs by "The Cult", "AC/DC","Bon Jovi", "Van Halen","Hanoi Rocks", "Velvet Revolver", "Black Sabbath" and "Tesla". And if you asked them to play their complete set - you would be rocked for almost 3hrs!
The band can be hired for public gigs (no gig too big or small) and private parties. When playing private parties, the band will also provide a rock disco if required. For public gigs, the band can usually be guaranteed to bring along a bunch of screaming fans! Contact gigs@stircrazy.org , or any band member, to hire the band. They can provide all the PA, lights and backline that you might need.
Recent large gigs that we have pictures of include "The Big One (Motorcycle Rally in Blackpool)", "The Birkenhead Music Festival", "Durham University End of Year Ball", "Band On The Wall, Manchester " ,"The Palace Theatre, Levenshulme, Manchester", and the "North West Easter Egg Motorbike Rally".
